Dunn + Kiley was contracted to develop a master plan for what will become the largest ski resort in Asia, and one of the largest in the world.  The planned ski terrain, with over 750 meters of vertical and 200 km of trail length, will rival Vail and Whistler and is being designed to host a future Winter Olympics.  The base village development will exceed 6,000,000 m2 and be by far the largest mountain resort in the world.  With a population of over 40 million people within a four-hour drive, and easy access from an international airport and high-speed train the resort is designed to accommodate over 10 million guests each year.  The project is organized into 4 equal sized phases and is planned around environmental and healthy lifestyle principles. The first phase of development is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
